Good morning Hops & Pie nation. Here is a little bit on what’s coming at you in the next week. This coming Sunday 5/15 we are gonna have a Littlest Big Beer Fest featuring Breweries from east of Denver. We have been lucky enough to score a cache of kegs & bombers from the mighty Jolly Pumpkin out of Michigan and Ommegang from up-state New York. The line-up is as follows:
From Jolly Pumpkin:
-ES Bam
-Bam Noire
-Bam Biere
-Noel De Calabaza
From Ommegang:
-Rare Vos
-Gnomegang (a colab. from Brasserie d’Achouffe & Ommegang)
-Witte
We feel wicked lucky to have scored this line-up of beers from these awesome breweries, and are psyched to share them with you guys. Some will be in bombers but don’t fret we will be offering them in a la carte pours or by the bomber and others will be on draft. Flights and individual pours will be available too, and beer club members you will have a nice discount available for you in order to save a few bucks.
Well thats it for now friends so come on by and eat, drink and be merry!

1st Friday is once again upon us which means, FIRKIN!!!!! Thats right, and we are so incredibly amped to have the 1st Stone Firkin to be tapped in town, ever! What said firkin will be filled with is Stone’s completely epic Ruination that has been dry hopped with Simcoe hops. Nuff said! Tapping will be at 6 and when it’s gone, it’s gone!!!
Coming this Thursday we have a special little nugget for you folks out there in Hops & Pie nation. Stone was kind enough to set us up with a keg of their smoked porter with vanilla bean. So we thought we may as well throw together a three course pairing menu and have a little Stone event. So the menu and other brews will be as follows.
1st course paired with Stone IPA:
A trio of Blackberry BBQ pulled pork slider, smoked chicken & sausage gumbo & tempura fried shrimp lollipop
2nd course paired with Sublimely Self Righteous:
Artisan Pizza of Beer braised short rib, red onion jam, camembert & a saute of sweet corn & spring onions.
Third course will be paired with vanilla bean smoked porter:
Seared Brioche with Novo coffee mousse & smoked sea salt
We will be offering this Thursday the 14th of April for 30$ a head each course to include a 10 oz. pour of each tasty Stone Brew!! Oh yeah, they are also gonna be sending over a case of archived bombers!! Booyah!
So come on by and eat, drink & be merry

Avery’s Firkin of DuganA was so damn good, not much of a shocker though! The promo event for the documentary film “Beer Culture” went great, thanks to everyone for showing their support!
Moving forward we are getting amped up for Firkin First Friday with Ska Brewing. The guys down there in Durango threw together a sick batch of Steel Toe Stout with orange peel & cocoa nibs!! Gonna be awesome!!!!!!!
After that we have April’s Littlest Big Beer Fest with Left Hand Brewing Company, the lineup is not yet set in stone but there will be 4 different taps, one of them cask conditioned and a selection of archived bottles. As soon as we are informed of what the variety will be, we will let ya’ll know.
Thats it for now!! So come on by and eat, drink & be merry!!
